Day 24
July 12th, 2017
They say it only takes a little faith To move a mountain Well good thing A little faith is all I have, right now But God, when You choose To leave mountains unmovable Oh give me the strength to be able to sing It is well with my soul
--“Even If” by Mercy Me
My brother’s girlfriend bought me a beautiful necklace a few years ago that holds a little jar with a few mustard seeds in it. It has a pendant on it that says, “with faith like a mustard seed,” and she said she gave it to me because I have such strong faith in God. In the Bible, Jesus told his disciples, “if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,” and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (Matthew 17:20). Well, “it’s a good thing” as Bart Milliard crooned this morning as I played Pandora while I took my morning bath, because I feel like sometimes when I have a grand mal seizure, it shakes me and my faith to the core. But it was strong to begin with, so when I dig down deep, I know that I can find a mustard seed in there, and that is all I need.
